How to use the list joiner and splitter
- Paste your list or delimited string into the box.
- Choose Join lines into one string or Split a string into lines in Action.
- Pick a Delimiter (or Custom and type it), Quotes around items, and the trim and empty options.
- Press Run, then Copy result.
How it works
Delimiters include comma, comma and space, semicolon, pipe, tab, space, new line or any custom text up to 100 characters. In a custom delimiter, \t means tab and \n means new line.
Quotes wrap each item in double or single quotes when joining. A quote inside an item is doubled, as in 'O''Brien', which is how CSV and SQL expect it.
When splitting with quotes chosen, a quoted item can contain the delimiter, and doubled quotes become one quote.
With trimming on, a delimiter like comma and space also splits items written without the space. Delimiters with letters, such as and, are matched exactly.
Everything runs in your browser. Your input is not uploaded or stored.
