How it works
Text is built from the classic lorem ipsum word list. Sentences have 6 to 14 words, and paragraphs have 4 to 7 sentences.
With a seed, the same settings always give the same text. With a blank seed, the words are picked with your browser's secure random number generator, so each run is different.
You can make up to 100 paragraphs, 500 sentences or 5,000 words at a time.
HTML mode wraps each paragraph in <p> and </p> tags. In sentence or word mode the whole result is one paragraph.
Everything runs in your browser. Your input is not uploaded or stored.
Questions and answers
What is lorem ipsum?
It is scrambled Latin based on a text by Cicero. Designers use it as filler so people focus on the layout instead of reading the words.
Can I get the same text every time?
Yes. Keep the same Seed value and settings and the output will match exactly. Clear the Seed for fresh text on each run.
How do I get lorem ipsum in HTML?
Set Wrap in HTML <p> tags to Yes and each paragraph is wrapped in a p element, ready to paste into a page.
