Privacy notice

Who we are

SnowRock is operated by Snowrock, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company operating from Traverse City, Michigan. We help companies meet potential buyers for their business data and help buyers find relevant companies. Our initial service focuses on U.S. business introductions.

This notice covers information we use to run the website, respond to inquiries, research business opportunities and arrange introductions. The underlying datasets pass directly from the data owner to the buyer under their separate agreement.

Information we collect

When you contact us, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, business email, phone number, company, role, website and message. You may also choose to tell us how you first heard about SnowRock. A company assessment also asks about the business’s history, team size, revenue range, industry and software. A referral includes the referrer’s details and the business contact details they have permission to share.

We may also obtain business contact information from company websites, public professional sources, referrals and business contact providers such as Apollo. This can include a person’s name, job title, employer and business contact details.

Our hosting and form providers process technical information needed to deliver and protect their services, such as IP addresses, browser information and request times. Form submissions include a reference number, the page the inquiry came from and any campaign labels included in the link you followed.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page visits and loading performance. Its reports include information such as pages visited, referring sites, browser and device type, and country. See our cookie and browser-storage information for more detail.

Do not send raw datasets, customer or employee records, passwords, financial account details, health information or other sensitive information through our forms or email. A company description is enough to start a conversation.

How we use it

We use this information to answer inquiries, assess potential business matches, contact relevant business representatives, arrange introductions and coordinate discussions. We use optional discovery answers to understand how people find us. You can leave that question blank. We also use deal records to administer agreements and fees, and limited records to handle requests, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.

Submitting a form does not subscribe you to a newsletter or authorize automated marketing calls or texts. You can ask us to stop marketing contact at any time by replying to a message or emailing [email protected].

Who receives information

To make an agreed introduction, we share the business contact details and company information needed for that conversation with the relevant data owner or buyer. An introduction may be part of a paid engagement. It does not authorize a buyer to access company systems or use the underlying data.

We use providers to host and protect the website, process forms and deliver email. Cloudflare provides website infrastructure. When you submit a form, Web3Forms processes your answers and delivers them to SnowRock. Our email provider also processes the messages we receive and send.

Web3Forms may retain submission records in addition to delivering email. Its privacy policy currently describes storage for up to three years, unless a shorter plan period or earlier deletion applies. It also describes processing in India and other regions, and the use of spam-prevention providers. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its infrastructure practices. A U.S. business inquiry may therefore be processed outside the United States by a service provider.

We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, or to establish or defend legal claims. Each data owner and buyer is responsible for explaining its own use of any information it receives.

Forms and browser storage

The forms keep your entries in the current page while you complete them. Moving between steps does not submit your answers. If you choose “Open in email,” the site prepares a draft in your email application; you decide whether to send it.

Read our cookie and browser-storage information for more about how the website works.

Job applications

If you apply by email, we receive your contact details, resume or professional profile, work links and any other information you choose to send. We use this information to assess your qualifications, discuss the position and communicate about your application. Our email provider processes these messages. Application details are available to people involved in SnowRock’s hiring process.

We consider the status of your application and relevant recordkeeping duties when deciding how long to retain hiring records. Email [email protected] to ask about your information or request a correction or deletion. Please do not send identity documents, bank details or confidential records from another employer with an initial application.

How long we keep information

We consider whether information is still needed for an inquiry, an active business relationship, an agreement or a legal obligation. Relevant factors include the status of the discussion, outstanding fees, recordkeeping duties and the need to resolve a dispute. We may keep a limited record of an opt-out so that we do not contact you again by mistake.

A deletion request may involve records in our email system and at a form provider as well as our own business records. We review those records and any reason we are required to keep particular information when we handle a request.

Your choices and requests

Email [email protected] to ask what information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, or stop marketing contact. Include enough detail for us to find the relevant record, but do not send identity documents or sensitive information unless we explain why they are needed.

Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have additional rights concerning access, correction, deletion or certain uses and disclosures of personal information. We will assess and respond to your request under the rules that apply. We may need to verify that a request concerns your information or that you are authorized to act for someone else.

This service is intended for business representatives, not children. If you believe a child’s information has been sent to us, please contact us so we can address it.

We will update this notice when our practices change and show the revised date on this page. Questions about this notice can be sent to [email protected] or raised by calling 231-690-7126.
