How to use the anagram checker
- Type two words or phrases, one per line, into the box.
- Choose whether to ignore spaces, punctuation, case and accents.
- Press Run.
- Read the result and, if they differ, the table of letter counts.
How it works
The tool counts every character on each line after the ignore options are applied and compares the counts.
When the lines are not anagrams, a table shows each character whose count differs, with how many times it appears on each line.
Ignore accents treats letters like é as e. Characters are compared as visible characters, so emoji and accented letters count as one.
You must enter exactly two nonblank lines, and each must keep at least one character after the options are applied.
Everything runs in your browser. Your input is not uploaded or stored.
