How it works
Each letter, digit and common punctuation mark is swapped for a Unicode character that looks like it turned 180 degrees, such as e to ǝ.
Reverse order also reverses the characters and the lines, so the result reads correctly when the screen is turned around. Keep original order swaps characters only.
Some characters, such as Q and most accented letters, have no good look-alike. They are kept as is and listed under the result.
A few look-alikes come from other alphabets, so they may show as boxes on older devices or fonts.
Everything runs in your browser. Your input is not uploaded or stored.
Questions and answers
How do I type upside down text?
Type normal text here, press Run and copy the result. The flipped text is made of ordinary Unicode characters, so it pastes into most apps.
Can I turn upside down text back to normal?
Yes. Paste the flipped text and choose Turn flipped text back in Direction.
Why do some letters not flip?
Unicode has no rotated version of some letters, so those are left as they are and named under the result.
