How it works

Whole numbers up to 999,999,999,999,999 are supported, using the short scale: thousand, million, billion and trillion.

Words style reads decimals digit by digit after "point" and allows up to 10 decimal places. Negative numbers start with "negative".

Dollars and cents and Check writing styles accept up to two decimal places and reject negative amounts.

Check writing style capitalizes the first word and writes cents as a fraction, such as "and 56/100 dollars". Commas are allowed only as thousands separators.
