How it works
Grade points are A 4.0, A- 3.7, B+ 3.3, B 3.0, B- 2.7, C+ 2.3, C 2.0, C- 1.7, D+ 1.3, D 1.0, D- 0.7 and F 0.0. A+ is 4.0 or 4.3, as you choose.
GPA equals the sum of grade points times credits, divided by the total credits.
Cumulative GPA combines your current GPA and its credits with the new courses in the same way.
Pass, fail, withdrawn and incomplete grades are rejected because they do not count toward GPA. Credits must be above 0 and up to 30 per course.
Schools use different scales, so check your school's policy for the official number.

Questions and answers
How do I calculate GPA with credits?
Multiply each course's grade points by its credits, add them up, and divide by the total credits. A 4 credit A- and a 3 credit B+ give (14.8 + 9.9) / 7 = 3.53.
Is an A+ worth 4.0 or 4.3?
It depends on the school. Many use 4.0 as the top, and some give A+ 4.3. Pick the option your school uses.
Does this calculate weighted honors or AP GPA?
No. It uses the standard unweighted 4.0 scale and does not add extra points for honors or AP classes.
