How to use the dice roller
- Type dice notation, such as 2d6+3, 4d6 drop lowest or 2d20kh1.
- Set the Number of rolls to repeat the roll up to 20 times.
- Press Run, then use Copy result or Download.
How it works
NdS rolls N dice with S sides. Groups and whole number modifiers can be added or subtracted, such as 1d8 + 1d6 + 2.
kh and kl keep the highest or lowest dice, and dh and dl drop them. The words "drop lowest" and "keep highest" work too. Dropped dice are shown in parentheses.
d% is a 100 sided die. Up to 100 dice per roll and 2 to 1,000 sides are allowed.
Each die uses crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling, so every face is equally likely. The possible range of totals is shown.

Questions and answers
What does 4d6 drop lowest mean?
Roll four six sided dice and add the highest three. It is a common way to roll character ability scores and gives totals from 3 to 18.
How do I roll with advantage?
Roll 2d20kh1 to keep the higher of two d20 rolls. Use 2d20kl1 for disadvantage.
Are these dice fair?
Yes. Each die uses your browser's cryptographic random source, and every face has the same chance.
