How it works
Fuel used equals distance divided by miles per gallon, or distance times liters per 100 km divided by 100.
Cost equals fuel used times the fuel price, with gallons and liters converted at 3.785411784 liters per US gallon.
Round trip doubles the distance, and the cost per person divides the total evenly.
This is an estimate. Real fuel use changes with speed, traffic, hills, weather and load.
