How to use the random number generator

  1. Enter the Minimum, Maximum and How many numbers you want.

  3. Pick an Order, then press Run.
  4. Use Copy result or Download to save the numbers.

How it works

Numbers come from crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling, so every value in the range is equally likely.

Decimals are drawn evenly from the values that have the chosen number of places, such as 0.00, 0.01 up to 1.00.

With repeats off, each value appears at most once, and you cannot ask for more numbers than the range holds.

You can draw 1 to 1,000 numbers, and limits stay within plus or minus 1,000,000,000,000,000. The minimum and maximum are both included.

Everything runs in your browser. Your input is not uploaded or stored.

Questions and answers

Is this random number generator truly random?

It uses your browser's cryptographic random source, the same kind used for security keys. Results cannot be predicted from earlier draws.

Can I pick lottery numbers without repeats?

Yes. Set the range, set How many, and choose No for Allow repeats.

Are the minimum and maximum included?

Yes. A range of 1 to 10 can return both 1 and 10.
