How it works

Regular pay = rate x regular hours. Overtime pay = rate x multiplier x overtime hours. Double-time pay = rate x 2 x double-time hours.

Gross pay is the sum of the three, and the average per hour is gross pay divided by total hours.

Rules on when overtime applies vary by law, employer and contract. The tool computes pay from the hours you enter and does not decide which hours count as overtime.

Total hours cannot exceed 744, the hours in a 31-day month. The result is gross pay before taxes and deductions.

Everything runs in your browser. Your input is not uploaded or stored.
