For companies · Equipment service and maintenance data

License your equipment service records.

Service reports connect a fault to checks, replacement parts and a repair outcome. SnowRock helps equipment owners and service companies explore licensing the histories they can authorize.

Discuss service data

Start with equipment types, years covered and whether repeat visits can be linked.

The records you create

From a reported fault to a tested repair.

  • Faults and diagnostics

Asset and model references, reported symptoms, fault codes, readings and the checks a technician performed.

  • Repairs and parts

Work orders, technician notes, parts fitted and the manual or procedure version used.

  • Tests and follow-up

Test conditions, results, return-to-service dates and later visits for the same asset or fault.

Why a buyer may license it

Develop and test maintenance tools.

A buyer may need the sequence of checks and the later outcome, as well as a fault description. An agreed license could support:

  • Evaluating diagnostic suggestions against recorded tests and completed repairs.
  • Researching failures and repeat repairs across comparable equipment histories.

Tell SnowRock which equipment families and faults you need, whether test readings or technician notes are essential, and how much follow-up is needed to judge a repair.

Industry example

Airbus licenses airline data for Skywise services.

Published 2021 terms and a separate 2018 subscription announcement

Published 2021 Skywise terms grant Airbus a royalty-free license to process company data, including maintenance records, for services, derived data and aircraft-related solutions. Separately, Airbus reported in 2018 that three airlines signed premium predictive-maintenance subscriptions.

Airlines pay for premium services. Airbus also described Core access at no cost in exchange for fleet operating data. Prices and any payment to airlines were not published.

The published terms cover aircraft-related uses, including maintenance analysis. Separate service agreements set commercial scope; the 2018 customer contracts are not published here.

Before preparing files

What to discuss with SnowRock.

You do not need to send raw records to begin. Tell us what your company has and which licensing options you would consider.

Equipment and coverage
Name asset types, model families, service dates and approximate job counts. Explain how identifiers and operating hours are recorded across repeat visits.
Repair outcomes
Describe how complaints connect to diagnostic checks, parts, tests and follow-up. Identify outcomes that were never confirmed and differences in measurement units.
Customer and equipment rights
Name who can approve sharing and review customer contracts, technician information, warranty records and manufacturer manuals. Separate your service notes from third-party documents.

Your company agrees the terms

Discuss licensing your service history.

Your company and the buyer agree which records may be licensed, permitted uses, preparation, delivery and price. Your company delivers the agreed data directly to the buyer. The buyer pays your company for the data license. SnowRock’s buyer-paid fee is agreed separately.
