How it works

Supported units: joules, kilojoules, watt-hours, kilowatt-hours, thermochemical calories, thermochemical kilocalories and International Table BTU.

One kilowatt-hour is 3,600,000 joules.

A thermochemical calorie is exactly 4.184 joules. The food Calorie on nutrition labels equals 1 kilocalorie.

One International Table BTU is about 1,055.06 joules.

Negative values are rejected. Power units like watts belong in the power converter.
