How SnowRock tools work

SnowRock, LLC builds these free tools. This page explains where the numbers come from, how we test them and what they cannot do.

Your input stays on your device

The utility tools run in your browser. What you type is processed on your device and is not uploaded or stored by the tool. You do not need an account.

Where the formulas come from

We use standard formulas and published definitions. Tool pages list official sources where they apply, such as government agencies and technical standards, so you can check the rules yourself. Utility pages show a worked example and, where one applies, the formula.

How we test the tools

Each tool has automated tests with normal inputs, edge cases and invalid inputs that must return a clear error. Tests run before every release. Results are checked against independently calculated values and published test vectors, such as those for hash functions, where they exist.

What the results are, and are not

Financial and health results are general estimates based only on what you enter. They are not financial, tax, legal or medical advice. Rules vary by person and place, so confirm important decisions with a qualified professional.
