About SnowRock
SnowRock is a data brokerage connecting U.S. business owners with buyers seeking data for AI training and evaluation. We research potential matches and coordinate introductions. Owners agree licenses and deliver data directly to buyers.
About this role
Go-to-market work concerns how a company finds and serves customers. At SnowRock, that means identifying buyers with a defined need, reaching relevant company owners and turning suitable opportunities into paid brokerage assignments. You will study that process and help the founder decide which markets, relationships and activities deserve more attention.
Your analysis will connect research and commercial activity with actual decisions and outcomes. You will make reporting useful even when a sample is small or a deal is still developing, and distinguish a promising conversation from an agreement or payment. You will also help improve the day-to-day work of qualifying requests, preparing proposals and following up.
This role is based in Michigan, with locations in Ludington and Traverse City. We will discuss work arrangements during the hiring process.
What you will do
- Define clear stages for buyer requests, sourcing assignments and introductions, with criteria that explain when an opportunity moves forward or stops.
- Analyze results by industry, request type and discovery channel, including the time spent, preparation costs and fees actually collected.
- Build reporting that connects search and outreach activity to qualified inquiries without confusing traffic, meetings and signed commercial work.
- Compare proposed markets and service approaches using explicit assumptions about buyer demand, sourcing difficulty and expected effort.
- Work with partnerships colleagues to improve qualification questions, proposal structure and follow-up based on recorded reasons opportunities advance or stall.
- Prepare concise planning reviews that show what changed, what remains uncertain and the decision the founder needs to make.
- Automate repetitive reporting where it saves time, while keeping financial definitions, source records and important exceptions understandable.
What you bring
- Examples of commercial analysis that influenced a decision, with a clear account of your assumptions and what happened afterward.
- Strong spreadsheet skills and the ability to query and compare business records using SQL or another suitable tool.
- Understanding of service economics, including delivery effort, payment timing and the difference between revenue forecasts and cash received.
- Ability to explain an analysis to people who do not share your technical background.
- Experience in commercial operations, strategy, finance, consulting or equivalent work that combined analysis with responsibility for execution.
Additional experience we value
- Experience with a brokerage, professional service or another business where projects and payment milestones vary.
- Experience evaluating search, referral or business-development channels without relying on headline activity counts.
- Experience building an operating process while customer needs and service scope are still evolving.
Compensation
The annual base salary range for this position is $270,000–$310,000 USD. Equity and benefits are additional. Your written offer will specify the package for your role.
