About SnowRock
SnowRock is a data brokerage connecting U.S. business owners with buyers seeking data for AI training and evaluation. We research potential matches and coordinate introductions. Owners agree licenses and deliver data directly to buyers.
About this role
A large organization may have researchers, procurement specialists and commercial leaders involved in one data request. You will help those people reach a clear brief and determine whether SnowRock can find relevant company owners. The work begins with understanding what the buyer needs and how it will review a potential source.
You will guide conversations from an initial requirement through an agreed sourcing or introduction assignment. You will coordinate technical and commercial questions, make responsibilities clear and keep discussions focused on a useful next decision. Owners agree licenses and deliver data directly to buyers; SnowRock’s separate service and fee need a clear place in that process.
This role is based in Michigan, where SnowRock operates in Ludington and Traverse City. We will discuss work arrangements during the hiring process.
What you will do
- Identify enterprise teams with a documented need for business data and reach the people responsible for defining requirements and approving a sourcing engagement.
- Run discovery conversations that establish the intended use, required records, review process, budget, timetable and factors that could stop a purchase.
- Write a shared brief that sourcing and research colleagues can use, and resolve conflicting requirements before asking owners to participate.
- Coordinate buyer, procurement and technical reviews so each participant understands SnowRock’s work and the owner’s separate licensing and delivery role.
- Negotiate the commercial assignment, including fees, introduction attribution, payment triggers and any restrictions that would affect future relationships.
- Keep prospective partners informed about search progress and unresolved questions without representing unconfirmed companies as available inventory.
- Develop useful follow-on relationships by reviewing the buyer’s experience, clarifying new requirements and documenting why an assignment succeeded or stopped.
What you bring
- Evidence of managing a complex business relationship involving several decision makers, from discovery through an agreement or a well-supported decision to stop.
- Ability to understand a technical buyer’s request and translate it into a clear commercial scope.
- Experience negotiating service terms and recognizing when an issue needs specialist legal or technical input.
- Consistent follow-through and direct writing that helps partners act without a long explanation.
- Experience in enterprise partnerships, sales, procurement or comparable work with responsibility for customer decisions and commercial outcomes.
Additional experience we value
- Experience selling or sourcing data, research services or technical information products.
- Familiarity with enterprise purchasing reviews and how technical acceptance affects payment.
- Experience working with AI application teams or businesses seeking an external data source.
Compensation
The annual base salary range for this position is $270,000–$310,000 USD. Equity and benefits are additional. Your written offer will specify the package for your role.
