About SnowRock
SnowRock is a data brokerage connecting U.S. business owners with buyers seeking data for AI training and evaluation. We research potential matches and coordinate introductions. Owners agree licenses and deliver data directly to buyers.
About this role
SnowRock introduces U.S. companies to buyers seeking business data. You will shape how we develop those relationships, decide which opportunities deserve attention and agree how SnowRock is paid. The role calls for someone who can understand a buyer’s intended use, speak directly with an owner and bring a discussion to a practical decision.
You will work with the founder on partner selection, commercial proposals and negotiations. Owners decide whether to license their data and deliver it directly to buyers. Your responsibility is to make SnowRock’s role clear, protect the relationships we introduce and establish terms that both sides can follow. You will also help distinguish a genuine sourcing assignment from a conversation with no defined need.
This role is based in Michigan, where SnowRock operates in Ludington and Traverse City. We will discuss work arrangements during the hiring process.
What you will do
- Develop a partnership plan around specific buyer needs, relevant industries and the kinds of company records that could meet those needs.
- Lead conversations with commercial decision makers, establish who owns the next decision and keep both sides informed as an opportunity develops.
- Agree who pays SnowRock, the fee calculation, the event that earns payment, attribution, payment timing and any exclusivity before making an introduction.
- Work with sourcing colleagues to assess whether an owner is interested and whether a buyer has a clear use, review process and budget.
- Prepare concise proposals that explain the assignment, expected work, responsibilities and costs without promising inventory, a purchase or a model improvement.
- Review stalled and unsuccessful discussions to identify weak qualification, unclear terms or a mismatch between the buyer’s request and available companies.
- Keep a usable record of commitments and outcomes, and recommend which partnerships to deepen, change or stop pursuing.
What you bring
- Evidence of building commercial relationships and negotiating agreements that people could successfully carry out.
- Ability to discuss business data and AI uses with technical buyers while keeping explanations clear for company owners.
- Sound judgment about fees, incentives, relationship conflicts and the practical cost of fulfilling a proposed assignment.
- Clear writing and careful follow-through, including examples of resolving a difficult disagreement or a deal that changed direction.
- Relevant experience may come from partnerships, enterprise sales, brokerage, procurement, entrepreneurship or another route with comparable responsibility.
Additional experience we value
- Experience with data licensing, information services or introductions involving several organizations.
- Familiarity with privately owned businesses and the systems that hold their operational records.
- Experience developing a commercial approach before a repeatable sales process was established.
Compensation
The annual base salary range for this position is $270,000–$365,000 USD. Equity and benefits are additional. Your written offer will specify the package for your role.
